Huntington Beach has a rich and fulfilling history. Our parks, beaches, parades, and celebrations are memorable attributes of our community. My responsibility, as your Councilmember, will be to protect the history of Huntington Beach and our values, including your right to enjoy life as you see fit. Given the issues with our parks without attendance in maintenance, the city has concerns over costs. I am for community involvement and would encourage a community outreach project, that will allow us to rebuild our parks for our children. We can encourage donations, sponsorships, i.e. "Adopt a Park" Vote for me, you vote for community involvement and fiscal responsibility. We do not need higher taxes.
A priority for all of us is to feel protected. As your Councilmember, I will always look for ways to improve upon the City's ability to keep you safe. I stand with our law enforcement and will not shy away from my defense of robust public safety efforts. I will block any attempt to defund our law enforcement. Law enforcement personnel should always be respected for their continuous selfless acts of service.
Small businesses are the backbone of our community. Supporting all Huntington Beach businesses are of great advantage to all of us. We are home to a diverse local economy. Promoting and protecting it will always be one of my primary focuses. As your Councilmember, I will strive to cut red tape and create streamlined processes for new and existing businesses in order to stimulate our local economy.
As a Huntington Beach business owner who has helped over 25,000 people achieve gainful employment, I will seek to maintain and grow upon our business and tax base. Bringing in more businesses to increase areas of quality is essential to all that live in our great community. More jobs means less unemployment and more revenue to create economic stability.
